The 160 unit independent senior housing project to be called Diamond Oaks Village, is marketing to 55 and older adults who want to age in place. An on-site activities director will lead an array of services and activities including on-site dining.
United Development has senior housing communities in New York, Atlanta and another under construction, Sandalwood Village, on Vanderbilt Beach Road in Naples.
Pending approval by the Bonita Springs City Council at its July 15th meeting, construction of Diamond Oaks Village will commence late summer or early fall on this 17-acre parcel. “It’s well located for our market – independent active seniors,” said Haskins.
This is just one of a plethora of planned 55+ and senior communities coming to the Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples area. Construction is underway at 27221 Bay Landing Drive, behind Carrabba’s on US 41 in Bonita Springs, for a 72-room memory facility. Just south of Sterling Oaks at 15450 Tamiami Trail, North Naples, an independent living, assisted living and memory care facility is planned by All Seasons of Naples with an optimistic completion date of the fall of 2015. In Estero construction recently began for another American House, this one at Coconut Point – 8460 Murano Del Lago Loop. It will feature independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments. Opening is projected for spring or summer of 2016.
